Marsh Serenity project ideas - more coming very soon
The skirt in the picture above was created in 2000. The design was one of my first digi projects . I was pleased with the end results but the it was a clumsy design to stitch. The designs have been revised and reworked and are presented in the Marsh Serenity collection. The designs showing on the skirt aren’t quite the same but the new collection designs will give you the same look. This skirt has been worn at many stitch events since it was constructed, and many people have requested the designs. The Marsh Serenity collection ,with its many design sizes gives you the opportunity to explore many ways of using the designs. The skirt is only one thought for using the designs. A bit about the skirt :The fabric used was a silk/cotton blend. The skirt is a wrap skirt , the dotted line on the front shows where the front wrap ends .This was the first garment I embroidered and I used only a heavy application of starch for stabilizer, it worked very well. The construction is very easy, petersham was used for the waist band facing (no waistband) Buttons and button hole closure means no dangling ties to worry about.

![]() Shirt Pocket The small single motif was used to embellish the pocket of my linen shirt. This shirt has been a wardrobe staple for a few years. The bit of embroidery has added just a bit more interest to an already great shirt.

![]() Napkin belts- Interesting quick ,fun and totally in the hoop You will have to come back and visit for more pictures in the near future. The gold napkin fabric is hand woven rayon/cotton . I can't complete the project until the remaining fabric yardage is removed from the loom. A table running and table cloth with an embroidered border will complete this set.

![]() Towels are everyone's favourites The yellow to the left has been embroidered using the large border designs. Towel to the right the 5x7 marsh serenity 2 design. This one is a keeper and is the theme of one of my bathrooms. I will also be adding the designs to the bottom of a fabric roman blind and will post a picture once the project is completed.
